2nd World Championships in Athletics held in Rome on August 28, 1987. World Championships were held under the auspices of the Inter nation Association of Athletics Federation. 

Many athletes from different countries of world came to participate in World Championships in Rome. The athlete Giovanni Evangelisti of Italy originally won the bronze medal in the long jump with a jump of 8.37 m. The 2nd World Championships was a real feast for all Europe.
