The Battle of Borodino was a major engagement in the Napoleonic Wars. The Battle started on September 7 in 1812. The Battle of Borodino was a historical fight, which envolved around 250.000 troops and produced 70.000 causalities. 

Napoleon's army attacked against the Russian army. Bloody battle of the Napoleonic Wars  was about 70 miles west of Moscow. The success  allowed  Napoleon to occupy Moscow. The French army lost about 30,000 men. Although the Russian army was badly mauled, it survived to fight again and, in the end, drove Napoleon out of Russia.
